Cozy Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe
Nothing makes me more excited for the fall season than a cozy pumpkin spice latte- the way the mug warms up my fingertips as I step out into the crisp air, the aroma of coffee and autumnal spices swirled into one, and the rich, comforting taste I wait for all year long. From the very first sip I know September has finally arrived. While I love waking up and going to my local coffee shop to grab a PSL, I don't always have the time.
To save yourself from waiting in line (and to save yourself some money), here's how to make your very own pumpkin spice lattes from home! This recipe is quick, easy, and oh so delicious.
(makes 1-2 drinks)
- 1 cup of milk (I prefer coconut milk, but you can use any milk you'd like!)
- 2 tbsp of cooked pumpkin
- 1 tbsp of maple syrup
- 1/4 tsp of pumpkin pie spice (plus more for serving)
- 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup of hot coffee
- whipped cream, for serving
Step 1: Add the coconut milk, pumpkin, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla to a saucepan over medium heat until the milk is hot.
Step 2: Whisk for about 30 seconds until the milk is foamy.
Step 3: Pour the mixture and the coffee into your favorite mug. Top it off with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice. Serve and enjoy!
